5 Piñata “Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me”- vs. 1

6 Piñata It’s never enough to say, “Don’t worry.” We need a reason to stop worrying

7 Piñata Trust in God; trust also in me… 2 Imperatives Trust= Pisteuo- to be persuaded of, to entrust to (faith)

8 Piñata I cannot trust God without trusting Jesus

9 Piñata Do not let your hearts be troubled… Whose choice is it?

11 Piñata A troubled heart is a symptom, not the actual disease

12 Piñata In my Father's house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you.

13 Piñata And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going” - vs. 3-4

34 Piñata Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'?

35 Piñata Don't you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you are not just my own. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work.

36 Piñata Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the miracles themselves- vs. 9-11

51 Piñata How does giving up control of/ releasing my desires to Christ’s Lordship guard against a “troubled heart?”
