Agree a working definition of basic literacy in an ESOL context and consider: –who are learners with basic literacy needs, –why have a course to specifically focus on this group of learners Increase awareness of the experience and the needs of learners with basic literacy needs and how this impacts on teaching basic literacy in ESOL Have an understanding of the Teaching Basic Literacy course offers Objectives
