1. Dublin Engineering Academy with The Ohio State University, Metro High School and Project Lead the Way

2. The Courses Ohio State – Engineering 1221 (MatLab programming) – Mathematics 1151 (Calc I) Dublin City Schools – Digital Electronics – Principles of Engineering – Engineering Research

3. Where and When Coffman High School – Periods 1-3 (students leave early in period 3 so they can return to their home school in time for fourth period) There is also a research component that student may do off site, most likely with OSU faculty or at a local business

4. Overview This course is really an introduction to engineering. The students get college credit from courses taught by OSU faculty as well as high school credit in engineering classes from Project Lead the Way, which is a nationally recognized program. The focus is primarily project based, with significant work done in small groups. Particular attention is paid to the design process.

5. Prerequisites The students must have taken Precalculus in order to apply. Students who wish to get OSU credit need to apply to OSU for the post secondary academy as well as completing the Dublin application.
