2 A word about Split Brain Patients Life is not necessarily difficult for split brain patients. In fact, the patients only experience difficulty in the first few months after surgery. As time passes, the “two separate minds” begin to figure out how to work together. Split-brain patients do receive visual fields, so the abnormalities are only noticeable in specialized laboratory conditions.

4 Hemispheric Specialization Left Hemisphere is primarily responsible for matters of language, symbols, logic, and mathematics. Right Hemisphere (sometimes called the more creative hemisphere) responds to spatial, musical, and emotional kinds of stimuli.
