4. Strategic Priority #1 Retain and graduate a diverse body of well-educated undergraduate students who are prepared to embody the Volunteer spirit as life-long learners and as ethical and professional leaders in the global community.

5. Implementation Each strategic priority will have a point person who oversees the development and implementation of initiatives centrally designed to support this priority Coordination with Top 25 measures Coordination with units as they develop their strategic plans

6. Measures Each priority will have appropriate measures against which we will measured These will include Top 25 metrics such as: entering profile, retention rate, 6- year graduation rate

7. Strategic Priority #2 Produce increasing numbers of diverse graduate students who earn master’s and doctoral degrees and are equipped to address the pressing concerns of their fields, extend the frontiers of knowledge, and contribute to the public good.

8. Strategic Priority #3 Strengthen capacity and productivity in research, scholarship, and creative activity to enhance economic, social, and environmental development; support outreach to our various constituencies; and extend the reputation and recognition of our campus.

9. Strategic Priority #4 Attract and retain stellar faculty and staff who will proudly represent our campus, embrace our vision, and exemplify our values.

10. Strategic Priority #5 Continually improve the resource base to achieve campus priorities by  carefully balancing state revenue, tuition, and private funding  improving campus infrastructure, including sustainability.
