21 Wetlands By Zachary Stanik Wetlands are their name, wet lands. Wetlands are places like swamps, marshes, and bogs. Swamps are wetlands that are wet, and thick with growth regions. Bogs are spongy parts of land that are usually acid and are near ponds and lakes. Finally, we have marshes that are wetlands that are spongy just like bogs but not acid.
