4 Draft Remember to skip lines and write only on one side of the paper.

5 Revise Read your story to yourself at least 3 times to make sure that it makes sense. Then read it to someone who can ask you questions that will make your writing better.

6 Revise Say thank you Read with expression Speak clearly Job of the reader Compliment Ask helpful questions Give your attention Job of the listener

7 Revise You have shared your story…now what? Read over the questions and select the ones that you think will be helpful to your story. Make changes. Look at your word choice and sentence fluency. Make changes.

8 Edit Conventions! This means get out the dictionaries and remember your grammar rules. This includes: Capital letters Punctuation., ! ? Indent paragraphs Correct spelling

9 Publish Your final copy! This is your writing and it sounds just like you. It has your voice. So get ready to share! Wow! Your story about our trip to Disneyland is great!
