To Expropriate (verb) DEF: To deprive of possessions or property rights. To distribute someone’s possessions to others. RELATED PARTS OF SPEECH: Expropriated, adjective Expropriation, noun EX. SENTENCE: Capitalists were shot, and their land expropriated to the state during the revolution.
