Conclude the cause and effect of the Great Depression on people life and economy in later years. Identify, compare, and evaluate the historical data to the current economic situation and make economic prediction. Explain how the stock market works, why companies go public, and why people make investment. Describe stock market, stakeholders, and stockholders Recognize internal and external factors that could effect the stock price of a company. Link their knowledge to the actual economic crisis in 2007-08 and explain their judgment by using appropriate economic terminologies. Learning Goals:

The Stock Market Crash: October 29, 1929 -The price of stocks dropped very quickly and many people lost all their money. -Business were unable to pay their debts and went bankrupt. Words to think: -Bankrupt -Depression -Great Depression

Depression: A depression is a period of time when business is low and unemployment is high. The Great Depression: the depression period last for 10 years and this period called Great Depression
