Using what we learned about percentages, and how to determine value of each percentage point in terms of each grading periods total points available, calculate how many points you would need to earn in order to move your current P4 grade up to the next highest grade. Say from a D to a C. If you have a 62% now, how many points do you need to move up to a 70%.

P4 total points possible was 1009 Multiply your percentage as a decimal by 1009 points to determine how many points you have earned by P4 marking period. Using 62% as an example: 1009 X 0.62 = 626r 70% is your goal so 1009 X 0.70 =706r Goal 706-626 = 80 points but points = 75% 80 ÷ 0.75= 106.6666 or 107 points needed
