4 Libraries were created because people wanted to have a place to go and borrow books and CD’s for free instead of paying. WHY LIBRARIES WERE CREATED?

5 There is estimated to be 123,000 libraries in the U.S.A. HOW MANY LIBRARIES ARE STILL IN THE U.S.A?

6 Libraries have existed for over 5,000 years. In 1731, Benjamin Franklin and some friends organized the library company of Philadelphia. The massive marble lions statues that stand at the entrance of the New York Public Library’s branch have become symbols of the library.
