You can even quiz each other on the terms: Jizya, Rightly Guided Caliphs, Umayyad, Abbasid, Sufis, Sunni Muslims, Shia Muslims, Baghdad, Sultanates What would you like to know more about? What don’t you understand? Questioning=thinking: If you don’t have questions, start thinking.

Who: Civilizations What: Kind of civilizations (empires, conversion, etc.) When: time period How: How did Islam spread? How did cultures blend? How did ideas spread? Group and Guided Reading: Share your answers to the group and guided reading and use the information to complete your Spread of Islam Annotated Map.

Some of you forgot to add in comparison words– you have to have those to answer all parts of the prompt. Revision option: scores of 1, 2, 3. You missed something I directly taught. You can conference with me and redo your essay.
