Jesus, the teacher and subject Ephesians 4:20-21 Surely you heard [of/about] Him – Christ Himself is our teacher, personally speaking to us as we learn/read/hear God’s word! And were taught in Him – Christ is the subject – His life and transforming power = You know the truth that is in Jesus.

Living in my new power in Christ (Ephesians 4:22-24) 1. Put Off – Old self (my deceptive sin nature) 2. Think New – I have a new capability! (Romans 12:2) Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. 3. Put On – New self (my new godly nature) (2 Corinthians 5:17) Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!

Remember, then Decide REMEMBER (Romans 6:11-13) In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. DECIDE (Romans 6:12-13} Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires. {13} Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness.
