Christchurch Accommodation Issues Christchurch is now operating with only 50% of the beds it had before 22 Feb Some improvement when “Red Zone” opens – but will get back to only 68% by end of summer Conference & Convention market and tour groups need hotels New investment in hotels and backpacker accommodation is now urgent Backpacker developments need to be in safer buildings
