Day 1 Unit 0 I can add and subtract fractions. 7.NS.1- Adding and Subtracting Rational Numbers Warm-up Date_________ Give the LCM of each pair: 1.) 14 and 7 LCM=_______ 2.) 8 and 3 LCM=_______ 3.) 6 and 9 LCM=_______
6
Adding Fractions I can add fractions. 1)Find a common denominator. This is just finding the LCM of the denominators. 2)How many times does the old denominator multiply into the common denominator? 3)This number now is multiplied by the numerator. It is written above the new denominator. 4)Do this for the next fraction. 5)Add/subtract the numerators and keep the denominator the same. 6)Simplify if needed.

Subtracting Fractions I can subtract fractions. 1)Find a common denominator. This is just finding the LCM of the denominators. 2)How many times does the old denominator multiply into the common denominator? 3)This number now is multiplied by the numerator. It is written above the new denominator. 4)Do this for the next fraction. 5)Subtract the numerators and keep the denominator the same. 6)Simplify if needed.

Multiplying Decimals I can Multiply Decimals. 1)Multiply as you would with whole numbers. 2)Count the number of spaces behind the decimal in both numbers. 3)This is the amount of spaces that should be after your decimal in the answer. 4)Does the answer make sense? 14.5 X 2.82
25
Dividing Decimals I can Divide Decimals. 1)Move the decimal in the divisor until you have a whole number. 2)Move the decimal in the dividend the same amount of spaces. 3)Put the decimal above the dividend in the answer space. 4)Divide as normal. 16.6 ÷ 3.2

Day 5Unit 0 I can convert between mixed numbers and improper fractions. 7.NS.2- Multiplying and Dividing Rational Numbers Warm-up Date_________ Solve 1.) (12 X 8) + 5=_______ 2.) (15 X3) + 6 = ______
30
Converting mixed numbers to improper fractions Step 1. Multiply the whole number by the denominator. Step 2. Take the product from step one and add it to the numerator. Step 3. The sum of step 2 is your new numerator and your denominator stays the same. Whole number Numerator Denominator
