What will I do to: Help students practice and deepen their understanding of new knowledge? 1.Distinguish between declarative knowledge and procedural knowledge. 2.Provide practice for procedural knowledge and activities such as analysis and comparison for declarative knowledge. 3.Both types of knowledge are supported by homework, cooperative groups, and revision activities. What will I do to: help students generate and test hypotheses about new knowledge? 1. Incorporate experimental inquiry, problem solving, decision making, and investigation into lesson plans to allow students to examine their thinking regarding knowledge being learned. QUESTION #4

What will I do to: establish and maintain effective relationships with students? 1.Think of teacher behaviors as opposed to teacher thoughts or feelings. 2.Be aware of actions that incorporate two critical components of effective relationship: behaviors that communicate an appropriate level of concern and cooperation and behaviors that communicate an appropriate level of guidance and control QUESTION #8

What will I do to: Communicate high expectations for all learners. 1.Develop expectations for students success in class. 2.Avoid treating low-expectancy students differently than high expectancy students. QUESTION #9
