New England States: Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Maine Features: ○ Appalachain Mountains ○ Atlantic Ocean ○ Hot to Mild Summers ○ Cold winters Intellectual: ○ Many top colleges and universities are located in New England

Northeast States: ○ Kentucky, West Virginia, Virginia, Delaware, Maryland, Pennsylvania, New York, New Jersey Features: ○ Appalachian Mountains ○ Great Lakes Political: ○ Nations Capital is located in Washington DC

Southeast States: ○ Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas Features: ○ Appalachian Mountains ○ High and low lands ○ Coastal Regions ○ Many rivers = good soil for farming Religion ○ Known as the Bible Belt of the United States because of the heavy influence of Religion
