2. Brighton & Hove has large community of over 400 different sports clubs and activity groups who provide a wide variety of sport and physical activity opportunities for residents in the city. The Sport Development Team aim to assist local sports clubs and physical activity groups improve their ability to deliver safe, quality sporting opportunities open to all residents of Brighton & Hove.

The Sport Development Team can offer local clubs and groups: Reliable advice Coach and volunteer education Assistance with development planning, policies and procedures Guidance and support with club accreditation School to club links Help to promote your activities to local residents Funding information

4. The Sport Development Team are looking to develop the support we offer clubs in the city…. …and in order to do so we really need your help.

5. The Sport Development Team are undertaking a comprehensive survey of local community sports clubs and activity groups in the city. The survey is called “ Your Club, Your Say ” We would like to find out: - What are the important issues for clubs in Brighton & Hove? - How we can best support your club?

6. Your Club Your Say The survey will cover the following areas: 1. Details of the activities your club provides: 2. Details on your club membership 3. Feedback on your club facilities 4. Needs of your coaches and volunteers 5. What training and support do you need to help you run your club

7. Benefits to your club/group Access a relevant programme of training that can support the people running your sport and physical activity club Hear about funding and other opportunities you have identified as useful to your club More searchable information on the Active for Life website

8. Benefits to your club/group Ensure the needs of your club are considered when the priorities for clubs in the city are established Opportunity to feed into the development of a Sports Facilities Strategy for the City.
