Objective: Determine if two lines are parallel Write proofs to prove two lines are parallel using angle relationships Write the converse of a conditional statement Essential Question: How can we prove that two lines are parallel?

KFC – KNOWLEDGE FOR COLLEGE Non-Example: If the Jaguars won, then the kicker did not miss any field goals. If the kicker did miss field goals, then the Jaguars did not win. Definition: The Converse of something is its opposite, specifically to switch the order of occurrence. Characteristics and Tendencies: An easy way to remember this is to think of the shoes Converse. They move you around. (Technically the shoes stole their name from math.) Example: If I turned in my test make-up, then I will pass Geometry. If I passed Geometry, then I turned in my test make-up.
