Lateral Collateral Ligament Overuse of the LCL in the elbow is commonly known as tennis elbow. One-handed backhand stroke puts extra strain on the lateral side of the elbow.

Tommy John Surgery Officially known as the ulnar collateral ligament replacement. Torn UCL can be surgery replaced by your own palmaris longis ligament or a cadaver ligament. Although rare, not everyone has a palmaris longis.
