2 Today’s Schedule Today we will be talking about mythological creatures ( 神话 生物 ). We will begin by introducing some new vocabulary. We will talk about some different mythological creatures. Finally, we will try to create our own mythological creatures!

3 What is a mythological creature ( 神话 生物 ) ? A mythological creature is a strange animal that is not real. In the past, people may have thought they were real! Dragons ( 龙 ), unicorns ( 独角兽 ) and werewolves ( 狼人 ) are all examples of mythological creatures.

4 Vocabulary Word #1: Characteristic ( 特点 ) A characteristic is a unique or interesting part of an object’s appearance or personality. Mythological creatures often have very strange characteristics! Here are a few example sentences: 1. My dog has very big ears. His ears are one of his cutest characteristics! 2. One of my friend’s funniest characteristics is his big nose.

Here are a few example sentences: 1. The snake lived under a rock – this was its habitat. 2. The camel lives in the middle of the desert. This is its habitat.

My diet is very unhealthy.

What does it eat? You can write about a mythological creature you know about, or you can create your own! If you want, you can also draw a picture of your mythological creature!
