| 3 The GAC PSWG is… A forum for experts and a resource for the GAC, the Public Safety Working Group (PSWG) proposes advice to the GAC through research, discussion and consultations with operational cyber-security experts. Created Feb 2015, ICANN 52 Singapore All GAC members are encouraged to join, in particular data protection representatives, subject matter experts.. | 5 GAC PSWG: our achievements since February 2015 Terms of Reference for WG: Completed and endorsed by the GAC at ICANN 53 in Buenos Aires The PSWG has been very active since its creation, in particular providing input on key WHOIS-related tracks: Whois Accuracy Program Specification Review: Comments produced in August 2015 Comments on the Privacy and Proxy Accreditation Services Initial Report of the GNSO PPSAI PDP WG: endorsed by the GAC, submitted to WG. Next Generation Registration Directory Services: Comment endorsed by the GAC and submitted in August 2015 Second face-to-face meeting of PSWG: 10 Sept 2015

| 6 Submit letter to the Number Resource Organization (NRO) on IP Address WHOIS accuracy, which is discussed by RIRs who gather at ICANN as ASO/NRO. No objections to date Any additional comments by GAC requested by 22 Oct 2015 Develop case studies in several areas, Include fee fraud investment scams. Include cases showing need for access to DNS WHOIS and IP WHOIS. Encourage regulator collaboration to solicit support from registrars and registries Look into standardizing requests by LEAs for WHOIS requests or domain suspension (currently highly variable). Clarify PSWG seeks accurate accessible WHOIS information, not necessarily public (address this recurring misperception about the WG) Organize meeting in Marrakech with regulators and registrars. | 7 Outreach to members from developing countries Outreach to and through GAC, AUC, OAS, Europol, Interpol, CoE Hold inter-sessional meeting early 2016, likely London ICANN Fellowship Program, for each meeting alert to fellowship program New gTLD Security Framework “Spec 11” PSWG has drafted document to be presented to ICANN Security Framework Working Group (October 2015) Goal is final registry guidelines for public comment in Marrakesh but relies on registry cooperation Wednesday 21 Oct, session on Spec 11 Security Framework Drafting Team F2F Meeting, Liffey B, at 11:30 – 12:45 For GAC consideration – PSWG plan of work (2/3)

| 8 RAA 3.18 Addendum for Illegal/Counterfeit Drug Reporting to ICANN Contract Compliance, Draft will be presented to PSWG. Draft by US Food and Drug Administration and European Union, Head of Section for Pharmaceutical Care, Consumer Health Protection and Anti-Counterfeiting – EDQM Ensure generic drugs are not mistakenly included/confused GAC-GNSO early engagement Importance of PSWG being involved early on in GAC support staff track and signal budding PDPs E.g. call for participation in WG on consumer trust in new gTLDs -- PSWG would like one of its members on the review team so the PSWG can plays an important role in the PDP – notice to GAC Chair!
