Create a budget that has room for rent, books, food, travel, and entertainment. Be involved A fast way to make new friends is to join clubs, sports teams and student organizations. Every college has lots of groups to choose from. Be balanced It is easy to fall into bad habits when you are away from home for the first time. It’s just as important to take time to eat well, exercise, or sleep as it is to study. Be responsible Being responsible takes work.
