Objectives To set up a job portal for green jobs posting, matchmaking & recruitment The first green jobs portal in the country To serve a green jobs knowledge base. Proposal on Notebook rental for Green Career Matching activities (IGEM2013) was completed on 03 Oct 2013. Proposal on Promotional Item for Green Career Matching (IGEM2013): Keychain was completed on 06 Oct 2013 Portal started live on 09 Oct 2013. Stats for 4 days (10 – 13 Oct 2013) Green Career Matching activities: Total Employers: 53 Total Jobseekers: 405 YAB PM visited Green Career Matching activities at MGTC Pavilion on 11 Oct 2013. % completed: 95 % % funds utilised: 57% (RM95,900 out of RM168,900) Available Balance: RM82,494 Activities Planned (For next reporting period) Proposal on Notebook rental for Green Career Matching activities (IGEM2013) Proposal on Promotion activities – printed & online Proposal on Green Jobs workshop Prepare project closing report.

Copyright Reserved GreenTech Malaysia PROJECT:GREEN JOBS PORTAL REPORTING PERIOD: 1/10/2013 – 31/10/2013 3 Impacts of the Project Green Career Matching was launched on 11 Oct 2012 at IGEM2012 by YAB PM No. of visitors – 1000 No. of employers – 30 (2012), 53 (during IGEM 2013) No. of jobseekers – 487 (2012), 405 (during IGEM 2013) Selected candidates by employers – 42 Challenges Competition among existing job portals Lack of awareness within industry/ employer on green jobs Actions To firm up the portal and get more participant from industry To increase promotion activities to attract jobseeker to visit/register with portal.
