2 Failure To Thrive - Failure to grow & gain weight either from birth or after a period of normal physical development. - 2-3 months to 3rd year of life - Organic & non-organic type - A form of physical abuse or neglect - Social & family background - Temperament - Management

3 Pica - Eating non-eatable element - MR - Chronic deprivation - Iron & zinc deficiency - Lead poisoning

4 Obesity - Over 90 th centile ( 20% over expected weight ) - Overprotected mother - Distress - Depression - Low self-esteem - Family counseling - CBT - Support - Psychological assessment prior to surgical intervention.

5 Anorexia Nervosa - Failure to gain weight - Delayed menarche - 8-13 years of age - Dieting - Group of girls - Familial tendency - Refusal of womanhood - Part of OCD presentation - Depressive disorder - AN program - Dynamic therapy - CBT
