Who is DENSO? Autonomous Vehicle Customer wants: Safety, Convenience, Comfort & Environment, but with higher expectations Global Supplier of Advanced Automotive Technology, Systems and Components with $39.8 Billion in Sales (As of March 31, 2014) Systems Provider Powertrain Control System Engine management system, Gasoline direct injection, Hybrid components, Starter, Alternator, etc. Thermal Systems Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning (HVAC), Compressor, Heat exchangers, Battery thermal management, etc. Information & Communications Systems Instrument cluster, Head-up display, Human machine interface technologies, Horn, Keyless entry, Wireless phone charger, etc. Driving Control & Safety Systems Passive safety technologies, Airbag sensing system, Active safety technologies, Traction control system, Antilock braking system, etc. Let’s work on intro and then GO to this statement What does a customer want in an Autonomous Vehicle? That was one of the questions asked to the panel. This page shows DENSO’s products in 4 areas that we focus on. Safety, Convenience, Comfort & Environment DENSO believes these 4 areas will still be important to AV customers, but the expectations will be even higher. DENSO is a system supplier, an one of only a few suppliers that has expertise in all of these areas, we will take a systems approach an utilize all of our capabilities to develop the best experience for our AV customers.
