Hofmann is also known for his poster and the use of the colour and fonts. Hofmann regards this as the “trivialization of colour.” His work is widely exhibited in major galleries, such as the New York Museum of Modern Art.

His goal was to communicate through his style of design. He practiced new techniques of : photo-typesetting Photo-montage Experimental composition And heavily favoured san-serif typography.
