IDENTITY THIEF
3
Last week we got our passport: we’re citizens of the Kingdom of God, “…members of God’s household…” (Ephesians 2:19).
4
“…we are God’s workmanship, created in…Jesus to do good works…” (Ephesians 2:10)
5
Or to quote Jesus in John 15: to bear “…much fruit…” (John 15:18)
6
Comprehend: We Are Hand-Made Creations, Not Cookie-Cutter Clones.
7
“Before I formed you in the womb, I knew you, before you were born, I set you apart…” (Jeremiah 1:5)
8
“Your hands shaped me and made me, [O Lord]…you molded me like clay…you gave me life…and in your providence [you] watched over my spirit…” (Job 10:8-9; 12).
10
God’s providential hand is forming and watching over dear you!
11
Release Any Doubt, Inferiority Or Fear.
12
“I formed you…” (Jeremiah 1:5) “I knew you…” (Jeremiah 1:5) “I set you apart…” (Jeremiah 1:5) “I appointed you…” (Jeremiah 1:5)
13
Oh Sovereign Lord, this can’t be. I mean for starters “…I do not know how to speak, I am only a child…” (Jeremiah 1:6).
14
“Yes, but…” – “Yes, but…” – “Yes…but!
15
Don’t say: “yes, but…” God infers. Don’t call me Sovereign and say you’re only a child. Say you are called. Say you are gifted. Say you are empowered. “…Go to everyone I send you to, and say whatever I command you …” (Jeremiah 1:7) Period.
16
But…but…I can’t respond to your call. Why “I am slow of speech and tongue.” (Exodus 4:10). And God said: “who gave man his mouth?” (Exodus 4:11). “Now go, I will help you speak and will teach you what to say…” (Exodus 4:12).
17
Sense God’s Everlasting Bolstering, And Anointing
18
“Do not be afraid…for I am with you…” (Jeremiah 1:8).
19
“Then the Lord reached his hand and touched [Jeremiah’s] mouth and said…‘Now I have put my words in your mouth. See, today -- I appoint you -- [I anoint you]…” (Jeremiah 1:10).
20
“One Person Can Make A Difference, And Everyone Should Try.”
21
“Do not be afraid…for I am with you….” (Jeremiah 1:8).
22
For before God formed you in the womb, God knew you, and “…set you apart…” (Jeremiah 1:5).
23
Produce fruit for God; ‘branch out’!
24
Say yes, Lord! Yes!!! And then do something great for God!
