"Comparing five-star to five-star, the hotels in Thailand are 40% to 60% cheaper than in India". Mr. Sehgal says he recalls fewer than 10 overseas Indian weddings held in Thailand in 2006. But in the first half of this year alone, he knows of at least 14.

6. The overseas trend has its problems though: Not all traditional aspects can be performed All guests have to be transported to the new site of the wedding. The added cost of imports and travel may be greater than the savings of exporting the wedding.

7. Entrepreneurship opportunities We could offer a hotel service in a variety of wedding “hotspots” that specialize in the planning, hosting and housing of the wedding party and guests. Our hotel will have all the necessary staff, chefs and planners to make the wedding as accurate as possible to the tradition of the Indian wedding. Our staff would work with the client to cater to their specific needs. All the necessary material would be at the hotel eliminating the need to import goods. This would cut down the expense of the wedding and also the time it would take to plan it.
