2 Overview A software organization will often have a quality assurance manager (QAM) to plan for and monitor software quality The Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) is developed by the QAM in order to state what V&V activities will be done, at what points in the software process they will occur, and how they will be assessed The QAP is the “bow” that ties all quality activities of a software project together

3 Relationship to Other Items Test Plans should be covered in a QAP because it is a V&V activity “Product and Process Quality Assurance” is a Level 2 Process Area in CMMI SM
