Cupcake Break with a breakfast twist Above and to the left are two versions of the same. Pancake batter made into cupcake with maple frosting and bacon, the above also has a poached quail egg. Blueberry Muffin with maple frosting with mini blueberry pancakes topped with fresh blueberry compote drizzled with maple syrup, so cute but messy and I think you would have to put a little syrup or icing between the pancakes to stick them together.

Coffee flavored cake with a whip cream frosting and cinnamon sprinkle baked in a corrugated paper cup. Mini Doughnut cupcake: could be plain cake, or cinnamon flavored with cream cheese icing topped with old fashion mini doughnut or maybe chocolate icing with a powdered doughnut. Cinnamon Roll cupcake with cream cheese drizzle

* Snowflake Martini ~ vanilla rum, white chocolate liqueur & peppermint schnapps garnished with candy cane * Poinsettia Cocktail ~ champagne and pomegranate juice with fresh pomegranate seeds * Cranberry Mojito ~ a refreshing blend of rum, sugar, mint, club soda and cranberry juice * Apple Cider Sangria ~ pinot grigio, apple cider, ginger brandy & club soda garnished with crisp apple * Rudolph’s Holiday Spritzer ~ vodka, cranberry juice, apple juice & ginger ale with a maraschino cherry HOLIDAY SPECIALTY DRINKS

Fun Tuesday Convention Services Ideas TIPS AND TRICKS TO WOW YOUR PLANNERS

History is key | always call your counterparts from previous hotels to not only get previous years resume / beo's but also find out about the groups hot buttons, expectations, challenges, how did they use the outlets. We all like to talk about our groups so this is a source that should be used more often. o Make sure you are reaching out to introduce yourself on a timely basis and establish timelines for communication. During this communication (email or phone call) find out how your meeting planner prefers to communicate | do they want to review details over the phone or should everything be emailed.

Get to know your planner | social media is a great way to find out who your planner is, what are their interests, family pets, etc. The more you know the more you can personalize the entire experience from planning to on-site o Meet the meeting planner or planners at the door upon arrival, have their room ready (if possible) or back-up plan for holding their luggage and a place for them to freshen up. Have them meet not only the key personnel but make sure the line level associates know who the VIP's are so they can address them as well. This instills confidence that the hotel is ready for the group.

Go the extra mile with the meeting planner office | comfortable chairs, foot massage, hand truck to move supplies, warm or cold hand towels. Client's favorite food and drinks. If they have office supplies make sure you are checking on refills each day Remember the group is just as important in the last day as the first | make sure you and key personnel are saying goodbye. Follow through on billing and rebooking the group. In discussion with your client find out their next stop another meeting or vacations after the meeting find out where and arrange an amenity and note. Send a note to the meeting planner's boss telling them how wonderful it was working with them and how professional they were | that will get you their loyalty forever.
