BEING AT PEACE WITH OURSELVES Knowing Who We Are God has created everyone as an original masterpiece Psalm 139:14 I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Genesis 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. We are created for a purpose. Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

BEING AT PEACE WITH OURSELVES Knowing Who’s We Are Luke 12:7 Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Jeremiah 1:5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.“ 1 John 5:19 We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under control of the evil one.

PEACE – “freedom of the mind from annoyance, distraction “(Cognitive Dissonance) WE ARE GOD’S GOOD CREATION….. HOWEVER…… WE ARE NOT GOD We have a Sinful Nature Galatians 5:17 For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. BEING AT PEACE WITH OURSELVES

1.Pleasing God - Luke 2:13 At once the angel was joined by a huge angelic choir singing God's praises: Glory to God in the heavenly heights, Peace to all men and women on earth who please him. 2. Making disciples - John 20:20 The disciples, seeing the Master with their own eyes, were exuberant. Jesus repeated his greeting: "Peace to you. Just as the Father sent me, I send you." 3.Trusting in His strength - Psalm 29:11 God makes his people strong. God gives his people peace KEYS TO BEING AT PEACE

4.Trusting in His promises The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18) Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear (Isaiah65:24) Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you (John 14:27). In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world (John 16:33) 5.Know of God’s Forgiveness Romans 8:1 There is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus KEYS TO BEING AT PEACE

GOTTA’s vs GOD-IS ADDICTION – TO SELF OUR OWN MEDICINE Matthew 5:3 God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs. SATAN’S DECEPTION Revelation 6:3 When the Lamb ripped off the second seal, I heard the second Animal cry, "Come out!" Another horse appeared, this one red. Its rider was off to take peace from the earth, setting people at each other's throats, killing one another. He was given a huge sword. PEACE BUSTERS

Jesus knew who He was and Whose he was (“I am the way. I am about my father’s work.”) He served, pleased God, made disciples, trusted God (“I came to serve and not be served”, You are my Son whom I love – with you, I am well pleased) He had cognitive dissonance (“Let this cup pass from me”) He chose God’s will (“Not my will but yours”) BEING AT PEACE WITH OURSELVES Jesus’ Peace

PEACE starts from within – THE CHRIST WITHIN PEACE comes from being in ‘God’s Will’ What is the will of God? That you would be reconciled with him, so you can live forever! BEING AT PEACE WITH OURSELVES
