Concerning Their Response A. W hat Responses can I expect if I do it right? Some will love the message and love you, others hate both! Their response toward you should not be close to their response to the message! Note: non-acceptance is rejection! B. H ow should I respond to their responses? Demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit Try to get to the heart of the matter Don’t pretend to know what you do not know! C. H ow important is their response? Vital. You must seek a response… You must turn the corner! How they respond is less important than THAT they respond! D. I n what sense should we seek a response? Seek a response to God, not us! From the heart, not under pressure, one that “counts the cost” – Matt 13, 16, Luke 14

Aims in Requesting a Response A. T ruth is to lead, with emotions and will confroming! Our mind is not bypassed in salvation! Not Emotionalism Not Stoicism B. W hile we must beware of false appeals to the will, a true evangelist does “turn the corner” We want people to face God now – tone of urgency/persuasion! 2 Corinthians 13:5 – encourage people to examine themselves!
