3 altruistic (adj.) unselfishly concerned for or devoted to the welfare of others An example of someone who is altruistic is a Peace Corps member.

4 ambiguous (adj.) unclear in meaning; confusing; capable of being interpreted in different ways. An example of someone who might give an ambiguous answer to a question is a politician who is talking to his constituents.

5 audacity (n.) boldness; reckless; daring; impertinence A person who publicly screams at his friend for a minor offense is an example of someone acting with audacity.

6 austere (adj.) very bare; bleak The rather austere décor was softened by early evening candle light.
