College Bursaries Did you know that there is financial support available for 16-19 year olds at College? If your son or daughter falls in to any of the following categories please pick up an application form from Room 25 at the end of the evening: Lives in a household in receipt of mean tested benefits and/or with an income below £27,000 Lives in a household affected by redundancy in the last 12 months Young Parents Young Carers Is, or has been, in the care of the Local Authority

The National Citizen Service The job market and the University admissions process is increasingly competitive….. Could your son or daughter benefit from: Getting a head start? An opportunity to have new experiences? Building their confidence? Some extra UCAS points? Developing new skills: Leadership, Communication, Decision Making & Problem Solving? Making new friends? If the answer to any of these questions is Yes then the government backed and funded National Citizen Service programme can help. BHASVIC Freshers’ & Enrichment Fair The Freshers’ & Enrichment Fair for students will take place on: Wednesday 23 September 2015 Main Hall 12:00 – 14:00 Please encourage your son or daughter to come along. There will be a wealth of information about enrichment opportunities and the wide range of services which are here to support them during their time at College.

Oxbridge If your son/daughter is thinking of an Oxbridge application the following meeting is a must! Friday 25 September 2015 11:45 – 12:30 Kirsten Dickers Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge, Admissions Director is giving a presentation in the Sports Café at BHASVIC – there will be Q & A time after the presentation. PARENTS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND
