Bringing local inclusion to the web

BACKGROUND A great number of people especially farmers lack information about techniques and methods that are guaranteed to boost their productivity and income

The Problem A lot of people do not know how to access or what they can learn from the Internet English is difficult to learn for a lot of people who are largely excluded from accessing the world wide web There are a lot of important information and research on the web that can improve lives of people in rural areas but hardly ever get to them.

The idea Create a platform which: – helps people to learn how to read and write in their local languages – encourages people who don’t know English to use the web – provides support in various ways to farmers – draws attention of elite people to collaborate in local content

CROWD-SOURCED LANGUAGE LEARNING Helping people to read and write in their local language

Learning to read/write A lot of individuals can speak their first languages very fluently but have little idea how to read/write them. Our goal: – Engage people in a fun and interactive way to share pictures and texts that can help learn how to learn their languages – Organize these content in such a way that anyone can easily use them to learn local languages

LOCALIZED SITE REQUESTS Encouraging people who don’t know English to use the web

Localized Site Requests A lot of websites which contain important information are not accessible to non-English readers. Our goal: – Provide translated versions of these websites with the help of Google Translate and community contributions – Provide a voting system by which we can select the sites for translation based on the number of pages and community votes

FARMER SUPPORT Providing education and business support for farmers

Farmer Support A lot of farmers lack considerably large amount of information and support which can help boost their productivity and income. Our goal: – Provide a platform where they can set up a profile and connect with merchants, supporters, investors, and buyers. – Provide localized versions of these information and researches which can help them boost their productivity and income

CREATING AWARENESS Bringing everyone to engage on the platform

Creating Awareness There is need to make the platform sustainable and we believe the farmer platform has the potential to become popular since people will be able to buy much more for less. Our goal: – Provide an ecommerce system where farmers can easily sell their goods online – Users are compelled to communicate in their local language for feedback and communications with the farmers

The Vision Create automated translation software enhanced by making use of the site content Develop plugin for automatic translation of websites on desktop and mobile devices Create a platform which preserves and also helps anyone learn the languages in Nigeria

Business Model Ads Selling of translated books Ecommerce Sales commissions

Final Notes The Intanet model can be scaled and reproduced easily in African countries The Intanet can go a great length in reducing poverty and improving income for farmers The Fama’s Maaket would create balance and help reduce/prevent unnecessary market inflations

Thank you for watching We appreciate any support or feedback Email us @: theintanetproject@robosyslive.com Thanks
