Facts Can reach lengths of up to 6m (20 feet) Reach speeds up to 24km/h swimming Weighs up to 5000 lbs

Why is it going extinct? The great white shark is vulnerable to being endangered or extinct for many reasons like: Humans are over hunting them and using them for their fins Fisherman leaving their larger fishing nets floating in the oceans which they can’t escape and die The pollution of their habitats by garbage and other human waste in the oceans Lack of food because people over catch fish and leave nothing for the sharks and then eat the garbage and waste we put in the oceans
4
How humans can protect it Humans can protect the sharks by reducing the amount of hunting they do for their fins Not leaving those large nets floating in the oceans Reduce the amount of fishing we do because most of it turns into waste anyway and the sharks eat fish as well Reduce the amount of waste that goes into the oceans
5
Why humans should protect it Humans should protect it because it is the top of the oceans food chain It helps keep certain species of fish and sea creatures that we do not eat from overpopulating Only around less than 15 people a year are attacked by great white sharks while humans kill thousands every year
