Advantages Electricity can be created at a constant rate If there is no need for electricity, gates can be closed and the water can be saved for a time when electricity is needed Made to last for years Electricity that is produced does not give off green house gases Do not pollute the atmosphere Disadvantages Extremely expensive to build Building large dams can cause serious geological damage People in the area must move out because of the flooding Can stop the water flow from the river into other countries

Dual Flush Toilets Handle solid and liquid wastes in two different water amounts – 2 buttons for the different types of waste More water is used if it is solid waste and less if it is a liquid Can save a lot of water by being able to choose how much water goes down Normal toilets use the same amount of water for every flush
