3.  My Parents  My Siblings  My Puppy  My Favorites  What goes into my week?  Education  Reasons I want to teach… I. Math II. Language Arts Visual Autobiography Content My name is Courtney Phillips. The presentation will cover the following aspects of my life.

4. My Parents My mom’s name is Renee, and she is 37 years old. My dad is 40 and his name is Shane. They were married in 1990 while my mom was still in high school. Although their young parenting age and early marriage created many obstacles, they have overcome them. They are truly great role models and I hope to become half the parent and friend to my kids that they have both been to me.

5. My Siblings I am the middle of three kids. Tabitha is my older sister, she is 20 years old. She will graduate in December with her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. My brother is 17 years old and his name is Seth. He is currently at Sampson Early College High School where he will get his diploma and certification in Industrial Maintenance.

6. My Puppy This is Lady; she is 7 weeks old. Her dad is a Chesapeake Bay Retriever and her mom is Border Collie and German Shepard mix.

7. My Boyfriend Me and Ian have been dating for three years. He is a very important part of my life. He is the one that keeps me sane throughout the school year!

11. Math  Math offers so many opportunities with jobs.  Math links into other subjects such as science and chemistry.  Math resembles a building. You have to have prior knowledge as a foundation in order to build more knowledge.  Math is a challenging subject.  You learn piece by piece to gradually reach a goal. Language Arts  Grammar is very important!  I feel that less students are able to write efficient papers due to grammar errors.  I understand now the importance of reading.  The more that you read, the more vocabulary you have.  Reading causes you to think critically and analyze situations to reach conclusions or to predict an outcome.
