2 To organise active leisure time event for all family from Gulbene municipality what popularise active lifestyle, eco and environmental tourism. To work out different informative and accounting materials about global education topics and to exhibit them during the event. To prepare educational tasks for every checkpoint at bike orienteering event what promote thinking about globalisation and environmental issues. Aims of the event

Activity 8 Dissemination & Multiplication 3 Eco Cycling events 5 events realized: 535 participants (Community members) (with out numbers from the 3rd yr) 3 events realized in cooperation with Gulbene Tourism and Cultural Heritage Agency, Latvia cycling federation, Insurance company „Gjensidige”, telecommunication company Lattelecom, and other local public institutions and CSO. Volunteers – organising, preparing of information and materials, work in checkpoints 1 event organized in cooperation with CSO "Jumata", Litene parish administration. In the result of very succesful cooperation with GMC, as the follow up activity, new project "Minies Globāli" was created by CSO «Jumata». Project received financial support from Nature protection foundation of Latvia and was realized in year 2015. Main topics of the project: environment, eco, responsible consumption.

PROGRAM OF THE ECO CYCLING EVENT (3rd Yr) 4 1. Amateur cycling competition (age: 16 – 82) 2. Agility ride for children (age: 3 – 9) 3. Eco-Cycling orienteering (age: 2 - 42) 4. Non-motorized vehicle parade - presentation.

RESULTS OF ECO CYCLING EVENT (3rd Yr) 5 14 teams in Eco-Cycling orienteering competition, 12 of them attended all checkpoints (together 159 participants from community) Participants were pleased for nice and useful time spent together with family of friends. Some participants and even teams participated in Eco-Cycling event repeatedly. Participants recognized that tasks of checkpoints were different and interesting and they gave possibility to get to know world diversity, to learn something new about environment, nature, to work for a good of surrounding people, to learn to be responsible about environment. At the event teams attended places, buildings, institutions in Gulbene. Part of them they haven’t attended before. Volunteers by practical doing got to know more about voluntary work, and they had more deep interest about it. Many volunteers helped also last year.

CONCLUSIONS FROM ECO CYCLING EVENT (3rd Yr) 6 Bike orienteering event is good way how in free form to inform society about different issues related to globalisation and ecology. People want to attend such events – both entertaining and educational (gives new information and broadens viewpoint). People are interested in aspects of globalisation and ecology, just we should present it without any pressure and morality. Several participants and teams participate in this event already several years. There were families with children of different ages and groups of friends in the event. The event united families and groups of friends and it gave opportunities to find out different new things. People are very interested in voluntary work, open, responsible, ready to learn by doing, and there is no age limit for it.

1st check point: Railway station – feel Yourself in other’s skin! 3 topics: 1. Banana harvesters in South Africa; 2. Tea harvesters in India; 3. Animals in Latvian forests.

Eco-Cycling orienteering 2nd check point: Kindergarden – Waste Sorting 1.Team had to find 10 pieces of waist in the territory 2.Team had to do the waist sorting and got to know about how to do it right and about free of charge waist transfer points.

Eco-Cycling orienteering 3rd check point: Gulbene Secondary school - Mother Nature Embassy Team had to find how long and how old is the tree? And What is the name of the tree?

Eco-Cycling orienteering 4th check point: Gulbene Old Bakery – Story of Bread Team had to read information about different kinds of bread in the world and traditions connected, and to finalize the strated sentences.

Eco-Cycling orienteering 5th check point: Elderly house – Intergenerational cooperation Participants read information about elderly house, planted flower, brought a peace of wood for heating and wrote short sentiment for elderly inhabitants of house

Eco-Cycling orienteering 6th check point: Lutheranic Church – Religions of World Team had to make a puzzle from which they got information about different religons in world; They had to fill in the work sheet about religions and to draw religious symbol
