What it is Equestrian is a sport where people ride horses and do eventing

History of the sport Started being an event in the Olympics in Paris for the first time in 1900 Equestrianism first became a sport in the late 1800's when cross-country was used as a game between cavalry officers in France. It became an Olympic sport in 1912

gear Saddle ( different sorts) bridle Saddle blanket Crop or whip ( whip for dressage crop for jumping) Jumping boots Bell boots Jody’s Helmet gloves Grooming kit Bit Blinkers

Specified gear and requirements Show jumping: jumping saddle, jumping boots and crop and hair tied up low bun. Cross country: same as show jumping Dressage: dressage saddle dressage whip clean black helmet cover hair in a bun

Dressage Fancy riding Takes alto of skill Well trained horses Horses need to be in perfect condition aswel as the rider

Show jumping Fast horse Good jumper Jumping boots if needed A way to tell if a horse is a good jumer is to look at his/her legs and see if they lift there legs up really high

Cross country A horse with high speed and stamina Crop (whip) Gloves Jumping boot if needed
