2 Double reduction Gear Box
Drivetrain Double reduction Gear Box 8:1 GearBox Ratio 30.8:1 Intial Drive 7.2:1 Final Drive Gaged GX9 CVT System

3 40 degree+ hill climb capability
Drivetrain 40 degree+ hill climb capability 34 mph max speed Next steps Choose Differential Determine size of phase 2 gear Begin design for shafts, bearings, and housing

4 Frame Team What We Have Done Analyze last year’s car
Familiarize ourselves with the SAE rulebook Develop basic car specifications Draw a preliminary roll cage in SolidWorks Incorporate front suspension mounting points

5 Frame Team Future Plans Refine and analyze front end and roll cage
Check driver clearances Establish rear mounting points and drivetrain configuration Perform FE analysis

6 Suspension Team Front Suspension
Selected front mounting points based on previous design. No significant changes necessary since there was no known issues with this design. Drew points in solid works for frame group to base design off of.

7 Suspension Team Rear Suspension Next Steps
Basing our design off of the 2012 setup with some changes to the dynamics. Keeping the rear trailing arm setup but eliminating the dynamic toe. This will provide a more reliable car while optimizing performance Next Steps Learning and understanding Optimum K suspension software. Import rough rear design points and begin analysis to optimize the suspension kinematics.
