WHO can participate in Power of One? Any state and nationally affiliated member

Two Project Levels Level 1: Less experienced members Hands on Short duration Lessons learn in class Create a concrete end product Middle School, special needs, ESOL students Level 2: More experienced members Involve intermediate or long term effort Create concrete end products Realize long-term accomplishments Personal insights High School students with FCCLA experience Any member is allowed to choose either level.

What is a Power of One Project? Is an individual activity the student creates to reach a personal goal. Should relate to subjects taught in FACS classes Must involve in-depth effort

How Much Time Is Spent There is no time limit Can work at own speed Or Limits may be set by teacher as class projects

Units of Power of One A Better You Family Ties Working on Working Take The Lead Speak Out for FCCLA

Power of One Recognition All Five Units must be complete along with an application for recognition Local: Advisor/Chapter Recognition State: Recognized at the annual state leadership conference National: Recognized at the national leadership conference
