It’s About More Than Just the Lead Dog!

Lead dog steers and sets the pace. Swing dogs when it’s time to change direction they swing the rest of the team behind them. Team dogs add power to the team. Wheel dogs nearest the sled; must have a relatively calm disposition so as not to be startled by the sled just behind it.
