The Principal of Children & Families of Iowa: Every family, every child deserves to be safe. Through its multiple programs, CFI helps everyone from children who need a safe home to adults learning to cope with trauma. Children & Families of Iowa has helped children and families for more than 125 years, and today it stands as one of Iowa’s largest, most well-respected providers of family services. What is CFI?

The unique part about Children & Families of Iowa is that the organization accepts a wide variety of donations. There are many different programs within the Children & Families of Iowa organization that all go towards the same cause: helping children and families in need. There are many types of projects that can be completed to help benefit Children & Families of Iowa. Programs and Donations

General Needs of All Programs: School supplies Office supplies NEW puzzles, games, dolls, towels, blankets, and sheets Personal care items Paper products Craft supplies Cleaning supplies Radios Sporting equipment Gift cards, bus tokens, pre-paid phone cards Appropriate holiday items Needs of Programs

Family Centered Services NEW car & booster seats Children’s clothing Personal care items Therapy/ Art Supplies Child Development Programs Diapers/Baby wipes Children’s clothing Non-perishable food Toys Additional Items per Department

Teen Programs NEW Adolescent/ young adult boojs Cooking utensils and supplies Clothing Non-perishable food Backpacks Sporting equipment and games Board games and video games Additional Items per Department

Domestic Violence Services NEW children’s books Cooking utensils and supplies Baby care items Women’s clothing New underwear, socks, and pajamas Laundry detergent Non-perishable food NEW pillows and twin-size linens Personal care items Working cell phones (with chargers) and non- working cell phones Additional Items per Department

Holiday-related ideas: Trick or Treat for items, Giving tree Hold a drive at your school and/or local businesses Create an incentive program for your drive Fundraise to purchase inexpensive items at a discounted grocery store Service Project Ideas

Since there are so many different ways to donate to Children & Families of Iowa, there are so many ways for you to collect donations! Start drives at your schools, visit businesses, and get creative with your service project! We’d like to be able to have each chapter donate one hundred items to this project. Your chapters are welcome to donate items and money to the cause. The chapters that donate the highest numbers of items will be formally recognized at State Leadership Conference! Carry out your project
