Progress Reports: P or NM 2 Progress Reports each semester Quarter Reports: A, B, C, or NM 1 Quarter Report each semester Semester Report Cards: A, B, C, or NC Semester grades are added to transcript December and June grades “No Credits” stay on the transcript Each course is 10 credits per year (5 each semester) May earn 80 credits per year

Summer School: Registration forms available in April “C” is the highest grade a student can earn in summer school College prep courses Applications can be picked up and returned to the Counseling Center Summer School Dates are To Be Determined Language Arts, Social Science, Physical Science, Life Science Courses offered may change each summer Night School: Juniors and Seniors Only Registration takes place the first few weeks of each semester Pass of Fail only Applications can be picked up and returned to the Counseling Center Courses DO NOT meet UC/CSU college entrance requirements Priority is given to seniors Language Arts, Social Science, Physical Science, Life Science

Admission requirements vary by each college, but they will be similar to the UC minimum admission requirements Applications deadlines vary for each campus Accept either the ACT with Writing, or SAT with Writing (check colleges’ website to see if they have a preference) Personal statement and/or additional campus questions Letter of recommendation from teacher and/or counselor Application will be available either on the college’s website, or www.commonapp.orgwww.commonapp.org Check each college’s website for specific admissions requirements

Take SAT with Writing and/or ACT with Writing spring of junior year New Redesigned SAT begins March 5 th, 2016 You can take the ‘old’ or ‘new’ SAT, or both this year The ‘old’ SAT will no longer be offered after January 23 rd, 2016 SAT Subject Test may be recommended by some UC or private colleges Register Online: SAT: collegeboard.org (choose Writing option for the new SAT) ACT: actstudent.org (choose Writing option) WHS school code: 053937 Last test date accepted by colleges is December of senior year

Students are responsible for sending their scores During registration you get to 4 send free score reports to colleges You must log into www.collegeboard.org and/or www.actstudent.org to send scoreswww.collegeboard.org www.actstudent.org Save some $$$ When you register use those 4 free score reports! CSU campuses use code 3594, and all CSU’s will get your scores Send scores to only one UC campus, and all UC campuses can access scores Athletes send scores to NCAA use code 9999
