PARALLEL LINES: Two lines that do not intersect and are coplanar.
4
SKEW LINES: Two lines that do not intersect and are non-coplanar.
5
PERPENDICULAR LINES: Two lines that intersect and form a right angle.
6
PARALLEL POSTULATE: Given a line and a point not on the line, there is exactly one line through the point that is parallel to the given line. AB P

PERPENDICULAR POSTULATE: Given a line and a point not on the line, there is exactly one line through the point that is perpendicular to the given line. AB P

CORRESPONDING ANGLES (CA): Angles in the exact same position. 1 2 3 4 56 7 8 Angles of the same color are corresponding angles. 1 2 3 4 56 7 8 TRANSVERSAL

ALTERNATE INTERIOR ANGLES (AIA): Angles that lie between the two lines and on opposite sides of the transversal. 1 2 3 4 56 7 8 Angles of the same color are alternate interior angles. 3 4 56 TRANSVERSAL Interior angles are in the space between the two black lines.

ALTERNATE EXTERIOR ANGLES (AEA): Angles that lie outside the two lines and on opposite sides of the transversal. 1 2 3 4 56 7 8 Angles of the same color are corresponding angles. 1 2 7 8 TRANSVERSAL Exterior angles are in the space outside the two black lines.

CONSECUTIVE INTERIOR ANGLES (CIA): Two angles that lie between the two lines and on the same side of the transversal. 1 2 3 4 56 7 8 Angles of the same color are alternate interior angles. 3 4 56 TRANSVERSAL Interior angles are in the space between the two black lines.
