Note: I do not claim the ownership of the 10% logo and the posters they made.

What is 10%? 10% is a group of ambitious students who were formed in December 2006. Their targets are to reduce the electricity bill at school. They hold their meetings usually at the SSC lecture theatre. Recently 10% was asked for advice from Hong Kong, Christian Chriarenza, the IB coordinator of the British School of New Delia on how to set up an energy saving organisation. No doubt, their reputation is growing across other schools!

What are their targets? The group 10% targets are to reduce the schools electricity bill by 10% in order to save money to spend on other facilities that are required for school. This year they are surging forward for another 5%, trying to reduce the bill by 15%!

What were 10%’s failures last year? 10% had only 2 minor setbacks to their saving energy campaign, when they spent $4096 in January and $2,568 EXTRA in August.

What were their successes last year? Last year, 10% has managed to pull off more than 13% of the electricity bill. They started off with $1,758,758 and managed to reduce the bill to $1,527,517, saving an astonishing amount of $231,151!

This is the difference of the electricity bills in 06 (when 10% was not created) and 07 (After it was created)

This is a chart containing information about how the school saved or overspent money on the electricity bill.

10% ideas Here are the posters of 10% in persuading students in KGV to save energy. This is the end of my PowerPoint presentation, Thank you for Watching.
