Subject and Object Pronouns The subject pronouns, I, you, he, she, it, we, and they can take the place of a noun as the subject of a sentence. The object pronouns, me, you, him, her, it, us and them can take the place of a noun as the object of a sentence. Samuel Morse invented the telegraph. Homework A. Read each sentence. Write a pronoun to take the place of the underlined word or words. Write whether the pronoun is a subject or object pronoun. 1. Samuel Morse was born in Massachusetts. 2. The telegraph was an important invention. 3. Other people helped Ross. 4. Some tried to take credit for the invention.
