Hi, I am studying the population density of Barranquilla. Lets look at my report!
3
Is located at the northern part of Colombia by the Caribbean Sea and the Magdalena River. Is the capital of the Atlántico Department. Is an Industrial, Portal and Special district. In 154 km 2, it has a population of 1.148.506 so the density is 7.458 Barranquilla is known as the “Golden Gate of Colombia” because it was the first and the most important port and it had the first airport in South America. So many immigrants from Europe and Asia came to live here.
4
Barranquilla is divided into 5 locations “Sur Oriente, Sur Occidente, Norte-Centro Historico, Metropolitana and Riomar”. In all these locations we find different neighborhoods. I live in the “Norte-Centro Historico”, it has 36 neighborhoods. I live in “Altos del Prado” Which is a residential place with many modern buildings and beautiful houses.

About 1.144.470 people live in urban areas and 4.036 in rural areas. About 47.5% of the population are men and 52.5% of the population are women.
